YOUTH PROGRAMS

Options for children 7-17:

The Niagara Falls Curling Club is pleased to offer three different youth programs for children ages 7-17.  The focus on all of these programs is giving children a chance to learn about the game in a fun and inviting atmosphere. Our programs are small and offer a lot of small groups and one-on-one learning opportunities. Covid protocols established by Ontario Curling will be followed to ensure the safety of your child.

 Little Rocks

Our Little Rocks program is for ages 7-12 and is an introductory program where the focus is on FUN! We spend one hour on the ice learning some basic skills and playing fun games.  After all that hard work we come up to the warm area for a time for socializing!  The program runs Sunday mornings for the whole season (October-April)  and includes a holiday and year end party.  The best thing is the only equipment needed is a helmet (hockey or bike), a clean pair of running shoes, and a curling broom (available for sale through the club). Children looking to ‘try it out’ are more than welcome to come for a week and see if they enjoy!

Junior Curling

Our Junior Program is for ages 12-17, and is a group of new and returning curlers.  The program runs Sundays for the whole season (October-April) and is a combination of skill development and games….with still the main focus on FUN! Any new curlers are welcome and instruction is available for those wishing to try it out. The Junior Curlers spend two hours on the ice each week.  The only requirements for equipment needed is a helmet (hockey or bike), a clean pair of running shoes, and a curling broom (available for sale through the club).
