And that’s the final stone!
As we wrap up an incredible year we should take time to look at the incredible accomplishments of the past year.
We welcomed one of our members, Sean, to the role of manager and ice tech.
We welcomed new board members Spencer and Claire to the board, being that they are 23 and 12 years old, this brought a great influx of youth to our board!
We made a very tough decision to delay the start as we waited for parts for the ice plant…but wow was it worth it!
Our kickoff BBQ was a huge hit!
We welcomed lots of new members through our learn to curl sessions!
We celebrated 90th birthdays!
We increased our number of Little Rock’s curlers and had 3x as many juniors! We were selected to run two new curling programs for youth by Curling Canada (Girls Rock and Niagara Junior League).
We figured out that trivia and flowers were very popular with our members!
We welcomed even more new members when the Olympic season came around.
We celebrated new and repeating champions of our leagues!
We cheered on Victor and Jessica as they took their talents to Sweden!
We were fortunate to an incredible group of volunteers who have helped our club to thrive!
From renovations, to coaching, to regular maintenance our volunteers really rock!
But mostly, we celebrated being together.
We do look forward to seeing more of our old friends return ….some being stranded across the river!
We look forward to more bonspiels and chili nights!
But most of all we hope Sean gets some sleep!
Thanks for all you do!
July 2021: In order to install the new ice plant, a double door had to be installed in the west wall.
